What this policy covers
This policy explains what we collect when you:
- browse or use www.fashmedia.co.uk
- send a project brief or contact form from the website
- use the Fash Media iOS app (portfolio browsing, saved favourites, brief drafts, and enquiries)
It does not cover websites we build for clients. Those sites have their own privacy arrangements.
Information we collect
Enquiries and project briefs
When you submit a contact form or brief (on the website or in the iOS app), we collect the details you provide. That typically includes your name, email address, company name (optional), message or notes, and project preferences such as project type, approximate page count, feature requirements, and timeline. We also generate a short summary of your answers so we can reply with a quote.
iOS app — data kept on your device
The app can store a brief draft and a list of favourite portfolio projects on your device using Apple’s on-device storage. That information stays on your phone or iPad unless you choose to submit a brief or contact form. Uninstalling the app removes it.
Technical and hosting data
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosts, Cloudflare may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request timing to deliver and protect the site. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on our marketing site.
How we use your information
We use enquiry and brief details to:
- reply to you and discuss a potential project
- prepare a written quote
- keep a record of correspondence related to that enquiry
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for unrelated marketing lists.
Legal bases
Under UK GDPR, we process enquiry data because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running our studio. Where you save drafts or favourites in the app, that processing is based on your use of those features on your own device.
Who we share information with
Website and app form submissions are delivered to us by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which acts as a service provider to forward the message to info@fashmedia.co.uk. Please also read FormSubmit’s own privacy information.
Our site is served via Cloudflare. If you open a client’s live website from the iOS app, that happens in Safari / Apple’s in-app Safari view and is subject to that website’s own privacy policy — not this one.
We may share information if required by law, or with professional advisers bound by confidentiality, where necessary to run or defend the business.
How long we keep information
Enquiry emails and related notes are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records (typically up to two years if no project goes ahead, longer if we work together). Device-side drafts and favourites remain until you clear them or remove the app.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information we hold about you, and you may object to certain processing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise your rights, email info@fashmedia.co.uk.
Children
Our website and app are aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this page from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or app after an update means you should read the revised policy.
